So, i recently have been having games that vary certain times of the day and certain times of the week where matches are not favourable, I took note of this and started investigating. The theory: When in a regional server among many time zones and countries, a group of players from one time zone can have a different skill level than another because that skill level was developed at a different timezone where the two did not meet. This means at certain times of the day they cross and you can get matches that are inconsistent, in some cases one team can completely roll the other in a way that appears unfair.
Due to how the OW players are spread among the ranks you would probably not see this in higher tiers as the playerbase is so much smaller. I know not everyone tries in QP but the key thing your looking for is teamwork rather than performance, the better the teamwork the better the forecast. This is only a theory from observation atm but if proven right consistently, it could help many players who solo queue or partial groups that have randoms.
